Britt Goodwin (BBO, Affil. A.T.O.D., B Sc., CIV DT&M) is an accomplished dancer, choreographer, singer, actor and model from the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
In 2016 and 2017 Britt had the honor of hosting the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held in Long Beach, California, USA. This included interviewing contestants and celebrities for daily shows as well as hosting the grand finale show for the biggest performing arts competition in the world, webcast live.
Previously she represented Australia at WCOPA for four years (2012-2015), competing against over 60 countries, winning a total of 55 awards including 2 x lyrical, 2 x tap and song and dance champion of the world and TWO scholarships to the prestigious Millennium Dance Complex in Hollywood. And, she is most proud to be designated an official WCOPA Scout for Team Australia by Lizette Hunt, Australia’s licensed national director.
Britt has completed her TWO MILLENNIUM DANCE COMPLEX (Hollywood) SCHOLARSHIPS and has been fortunate enough to work with prominent names in the dance industry such as Kenya Clay, Justin Kopplin, Eric Ellis, TOKYO and Guy Amir.
In 2017 Britt was also awarded a full summer school tuition SCHOLARSHIP to the JOFFREY BALLET SCHOOL which she completed in West Los Angeles in June. Britt studied the 'Fusion Intensive' involving classical and contemporary ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, latin fusion and pointe technique, the ultimate intensive of Joffrey following their motto: "Be the dancer that can do it all."
Britt has appeared in the TV series Xtreme Waterparks (2017) and Harrow (2018). Other credits include lead roles in the Australian premiere of ‘Annie Warbucks’ the musical, ‘Perils of the Pirate' (theatre restaurant), 'The Enchanted Forest' and performing as a dancer for Rhonda Burchmore, Melinda Schridner and The Koi Boys at the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols in Brisbane among other shows.
Britt has been teaching and choreographing for eight years in all genres of dance and specializing in technique, dance medicine as well as the physics behind turns. Britt is a qualified teacher under the British Ballet Organization and Australian Teachers of Dance. She also holds a Bachelor in Science, majoring in Sport and Exercise Science, a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management as well as her Advanced First Aid specialising in an education and care setting. Her students and choreography have won many awards nationally and internationally, many training for a career in the performing arts.
